When I look for fabric, I don’t use my eyes so much as I use my fingers. This whisper weight wool/silk blend is so nice and smooth I just had to pick some up and make some caps from it. The wool will take care of you year-round with its wicking properties, and the silk just adds to that, being super absorbent itself. It’ll get the moisture off your head and evaporated back into the atmosphere so you can stay cool and dry as much as possible. All the benefits of a cap (a bill to shield your eyes, a top to block the sun, and a sweatband to soak up the sweat) but much less weight or bulk. Simple, sturdy, packable, loveable. 2″ deep bill. 85% wool, 15% silk.
Care: Dry clean or gently hand wash cool/warm, shape, dry flat. Hot iron. (Don’t worry too much – I’ve pre-washed this and it puts up with a good hand-washing!)
