Product Description
The fabric is a 65% polyester 35% cotton blend. (Don’t poo-poo the polyester! Most sportswear is made from polyester because it is a technical fabric: it’s wicking, wrinkle-resistant, and very durable.) The fabric has a nice almost “crunchy” feel to it, similar to waxed cotton. The cap has a cotton twill tape sweatband in black, with elastic in the back for a forgiving fit. The bill is filled with polyester fiber, and yet holds its shape well, doesn’t sag, and flips up with just as satisfying a flip as plastic does. The cap shown in the photos has calypso green ribbon and a soft, 4cm deep bill.
To care for it, machine wash cool or warm, tumble dry low or dry flat. Iron hot.
- You can have this cap in any size from newborn to 25 inches and beyond. Measure around your head where you would like the cap sweatband to sit. This measurement doesn’t have to be precise, just close.
- Choose a color from the photo at left – those are colors I stock. Dozens of other colors are available for $5 extra, but you might have to wait a little longer (up to a month) for your cap.
- Choose between a regular 5cm deep bill or a shorter 4cm bill. Choose between a plastic-stiffened bill or a soft fiber-filled bill. The longer bill gives better shade. People with neck troubles usually prefer the shorter bill. The soft bill is my favorite.
