It’s ironic that just as my business, Little Package, stabilizes and matures gracefully, I want to step aside on sabbatical. I must be crazy, right? Don’t answer that.
Though I’ve been making cycling caps almost 8 years, it is still a hobby business. I don’t advertise and I do not sell wholesale. I have no plans to outsource, grow, or sell. I just stick to this simple formula: I make the nicest caps I can for some of the nicest people in the world, my customers. I certainly don’t want to disappoint anyone, but I need to step aside for a while.
This month I will take in as many cap orders as possible, but will then be shutting down cap sales until fall 2013. New customers can order semi-custom caps. Returning customers or customers on my wait list can request full custom caps. At some point I will have to stop taking requests. This could be next week, it could be the end of the month. If you want a cap for the summer, make your move. All off-the-peg caps for sale on this site and my Etsy shop will be taken down mid-April. Again, if you see something and like it, make your move soon!
If you just can’t wait and are feeling crafty, I have made my sewing pattern for a classic cycling cap downloadable so that it can be purchased and downloaded at any time this year.
If you represent a local Portland bike shop and wish to purchase my remaining inventory at wholesale in April, please contact me. I will sell to one shop only. More details in correspondence.
I will be online and keeping a blog right here all summer, so visit back or follow my blog RSS feed. As more details emerge I’ll share them, but I’ll try to be careful not to bore or overwhelm you. I have no idea what I will be sharing, but I know for sure that 2013 is going to be full of crazy adventure. I’m really excited!
Thank you so much for being here, and for your kindness and support.
